Lydia is the inspiration behind the LYYAH’s Foods brand. A passionate food lover and serial entrepreneur, Lydia does not miss any opportunity to fuel her passion for all things African food.

Faced with a situation a few years ago where she had lost her formal employment and needed to fend for her family, Lydia turned to her grandmother’s tried and tested Chinchin recipe from over 50 years ago. She set up a home kitchen operation which has been delighting thousands of consumers from across the world.

This favourite of hers has brought joy to consumers from across Africa, Europe and the United States. As she puts it, “…there is Chinchin and there is Chinchin. Everyone can make it, but none as good as my grandmother did…”. She did not only adopt this granny’s recipe, but she also set out to study and understand what elements of it made it such a favourite amongst the faithful.

So, she perfected this amazing all-occasion snacking favourite, whilst preserving its traditional uniqueness through a special combination of the original ingredients to deliver a reduced oil, tasty crunch that is second to none.
